Cathy Raymond worked as Assistant Director of English Language Programs at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, before becoming an independent educational consultant. On her impressive resume in the field of higher education is her time at Indiana University Bloomington, where she collaborated on the Afghan Higher Education Project and travelled to the then-wartorn country, in part to recruit students for IU master’s programs. In 2018, as a Fulbright scholar, she did “a life-affirming” teaching stint at the University of Central Asia in Tajikistan, which she writes about for Outpost. She lives in St. Louis with her binational family and cheeky Chihuahua Charlie.
