To call Ryan Estrada a web comic artist would be selling him short. He’s a podcaster, storyteller and blogger. His nine-episode podcast, Big Data, is a sprawling audio drama featuring famous comedians from across the world; his web comic Broken Telephone is more than 200 pages of an unfolding crime that shifts perspectives, narrators, even illustrators to tell its story.

And since Ryan is a comic artist, he can live anywhere in the world, finding inspiration for stories everywhere he goes. After bulking up his travel resume, with stints in South America and Southeast Asia, he settled down in Busan, South Korea, where I met him back in 2012.
In the debut episode of our podcast, How to Make Money Travelling, Outpost contributor Michael Fraiman chats with Ryan about what it takes to become a roving artist, how to grow your business and how much you can expect to make in the industry.
