Gateway to Iceland (Reykjavik) and Greenland (Ilulissat), from Kensington Tours
Add a touch of Greenland to your Icelandic tour! Legend has it that when Erik the Red was exiled from Iceland for murder, he named his new snowy home Greenland in the hope of luring pleasant company his way. Now you can follow in Erik’s footsteps on this trip that takes you across Greenland’s spectacular fjords and Iceland’s stunning landscapes.
You will tour Iceland from its capital of Reykjavik to its Geysir geothermal fields and Gullfoss Waterfall. You can try snowmobiling the languid Langjoekull glacier before flying to southern Greenland—rich with mountains, glaciers and ice caps. Take a cruise around Eric’s Fjord (so named for the marketing maestro) to view pristine icebergs, and visit the remoter village of Igaliku, home to the ruins of a Viking cathedral.
